About the Business
Hales Freight started in business In Liverpool in 1975. Wally Hale and his five sons saw that the fresh imported vegetables that they sent to Ireland were very slow in getting to their destination, and that in the interest of their customers they'd have to take control of the way they were being shipped.
In May of '75, Hales Freight began shipping their own trailers with their own drivers straight to Dublin, which then delivered direct to the customer the next day. No one else was doing this in the mid 70's, and consequently Hales Freight quickly gained a reputation for a reliable and cost-effective overnight groupage service.
In 2001 Hales Freight opened a brand new 2 acre site in Widnes to service all it's customers from around the Lancashire, Leeds, and North East areas.
